Vehicle Overview
What it is: The Audi A6 is a midsize luxury sedan available with front- or all-wheel drive and a choice of gas engines: a turbocharged four-cylinder or a supercharged V-6. Audi has stopped offering a turbo-diesel V-6 while it works to resolve an emissions-cheating scandal. Competitors include the BMW 5 Series, Cadillac CTS, Jaguar XF and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. A related S6 performance version comes with a 450-horsepower, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine.

New for 2017
A smartphone interface that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on V-6 models and optional on four-cylinder cars. A new all-wheel-drive 3.0T Competition model has 340 hp (7 hp more than other V-6 models), a rear sport differential, 20-inch wheels, red brake calipers and black mirror housings. Inside, the leather sport seats have diamond-pattern contrast stitching and a flat-bottom steering wheel with shift paddles.
