CARS.COM — The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Prototype debuted at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland, and now it’s made its way to the States and the 2016 New York International Auto Show. The prototype shares some of its exterior lines with the sedan — the most glaring exception is a rear roofline that gradually tapers into the rear hatch.
The prototype also has a much more aggressive look than the sedan. Large mesh openings dominate the front and rear bumpers, and the rear hatch features not one but two spoilers: one on the roof and one across the hatch that flows into the taillights. The prototype’s flat gray color is offset by bright green accents from the front fog lights, brake calipers, door sills, rear diffuser and even the dual central exhaust tips. The entire package sits on large wheels resembling fan blades.
