CARS.COM — Acura has added a sportier, A-Spec-inspired Special Edition of the 2018 ILX base model and also raised the base starting price $110 for the premium compact sedan to $29,050, including destination.
The Special Edition, $800 more than the base ILX, includes the 18-inch alloy wheels, lower-body side molding and rear spoiler from the more expensive A-Spec Package offered on Premium and Tech Plus models. The ILX Premium starts at $31,050 and the ILX Tech Plus at $34,050.
The full A-Spec Package on those models costs $2,000 for 2018, increasing $10 from 2017, and provides a sportier look. On the exterior, it adds the 18-inch wheels, rear spoiler and body side molding, plus foglights. Inside, A-Spec models add a black interior, seats with contrast stitching and Lux Suede inserts, a black headliner, instrument panel lighting and aluminum pedals.
The powertrain for all 2018 ILX models is the carryover 201-horsepower, 2.4-liter four cylinder and eight-speed dual clutch automatic with paddle shifters. Fuel-economy ratings also are unchanged at 25/35/29 mpg city/highway/combined.
