Vehicles Affected: Approximately 47,800 model-year 2018 Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid minivans
The Problem: The right-front lower control arm may separate from the steering knuckle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the right-front knuckle and lower control arm for damage, replacing the components as necessary. The right-front lower control arm knuckle pinch bolt will be replaced with a larger-diameter pinch bolt. Both repairs will be done for free.
What Owners Should Do: Chrysler manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will begin notifying owners April 19. Owners can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
