CARS.COM — When the refreshed 2018 Ford Mustang goes on sale in October, it will offer a retro appearance package that includes a grille with a big version of the classic galloping pony in the chrome corral.

The Pony Package will be offered only for Mustangs with the turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, not V-8 versions. The V-6 option is being dropped for 2018.
Beyond the pony-badged grille, the package includes a tri-bar on the trunk lid, 19-inch polished aluminum wheels, lower side stripes and some beltline brightwork on the coupe model (but not the new convertible). The only difference inside is upgraded floormats with an embroidered pony logo.
Pricing for the 2018 Mustang has not been announced. The 2017 Mustang coupe with the 2.3-liter four and six-speed manual starts at $27,095, including a destination charge.
