2019 Ford Edge: Recall Alert
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 370 model-year 2019 Ford Edge SUVs built at the Oakville Assembly Plant, Sept. 18-19, 2019
The Problem: The driver’s side seat belt assembly may not adequately restrain the occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Ford said it is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this condition.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the driver’s side seat belt pretensioner assembly and replace it, as necessary, for free.
What Owners Should Do: Ford did not immediately announce an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call the automaker at 800-392-3673, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
