2019 Ford Ranger Pricing Breakdown: XL Vs. XLT Vs. Lariat

The 2019 Ford Ranger is finally appearing in showrooms as Ford gets one of this year's must-have mid-size pickup trucks into the hands of eager customers. But before you head to the dealership, we looked at all the Ranger's trim levels to show what features you get for the money. It didn't take long, as Ford is only offering the Ranger in XL, XLT and Lariat trims and two cab styles: SuperCab and SuperCrew (at least for now).

There are some cosmetic options and a host of accessories available through Ford dealers, but here are the features and packages Ford is offering on the 2019 Ranger. All prices were current as of March 6, 2019:
XL SuperCab 4×2 ($25,495; all prices include $1,195 destination fee):
- Turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine
- 10-speed automatic transmission
- Rear-wheel drive
- Cloth seats
- Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking
- Automatic headlamps
- 16-inch painted steel wheels
- Rearview camera
- Ford Sync with 2.3-inch gauge display
- Aux jack input, one USB charging port
- FordPass Connect with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot
- Six-speaker audio system with AM/FM Radio
- Front four-way manually adjustable seats
- Rear dual-fold cloth bench with removable cushions and under-seat storage
- Black vinyl floor covering
The basic Ranger XL is used by work truck fleets and people looking for just the bare cost of entry into the pickup truck world. All Rangers come with the same powertrain — a powerful turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder making 270 horsepower and 310 pounds-feet of torque, which explains why the cheapest Ranger is still $3,100 more than the cheapest Chevrolet Colorado and $5,460 more than the least expensive Nissan Frontier with their naturally aspirated four-cylinder base engines.
Four-wheel drive is available for an additional $4,160, and upgrading to the SuperCrew four-door crew-cab model is $2,220 extra. Two appearance packages are available, the STX for $995 or the Chrome XL for $365, but choosing one also requires you to add the $1,135 101A Package, which adds cruise control, an anti-theft system, a remote key fob and power-adjustable side mirrors. For off-roaders, the FX4 Package ($1,295) brings 17- or 18-inch wheels with off-road tires, an electronic locking rear differential, front tow hooks, steel skid plates, the Terrain Management System, Trail Control system and decals, but again requires the selection of the $1,135 101A Package. Available on all trim levels is a Trailer Tow Package for $495 (just a wiring harness and hitch receiver) and a Bed Utility Package for $395 (includes a drop-in bedliner and 12-volt power outlet).
XLT SuperCab 4×2 ($29,135) adds:
- Ford Co-Pilot360 (blind spot warning, cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist, auto high beams)
- 17-inch aluminum wheels
- Body-color front and rear bumpers
- Reverse sensing system
- Halogen foglamps
- Black mesh grille
- Cruise control
- 4.2-inch gauge display
- Remote keyless entry with anti-theft
- Manual-folding, remote powered side mirrors
- Power-locking tailgate
- Rear defroster
On the mid-level XLT, upgrading to four-wheel drive costs $4,000, while going to the SuperCrew model adds $2,175. Notable packages include 301A for $995, which adds Sync 3, satellite radio, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, and power folding sideview mirrors. The 302A Package for $2,800 includes 301A plus an eight-way power driver's and passenger's seat, heated front seats, a manual sliding rear window and remote start. The 302A Package also includes the Sport Appearance Package that adds gray-painted bumpers, grille, wheel moldings and wheels. Upgrade to the Chrome Appearance Package for $795 more. The FX4 Package can be had for $1,295 as a standalone option or in addition to the other packages.
Lariat 4×2 SuperCab ($33,405) adds:
- Leather-trimmed seats
- LED headlights, taillights and foglamps
- 18-inch wheels
- Ford Sync 3 with 8-inch multimedia touchscreen
- Intelligent Access keyless entry with push-button start
- Chrome grille
- Dual-zone automatic climate control
- Ambient lighting
- Dual 4.2-inch gauge displays
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter
- Body-colored door and tailgate handles
- Power-folding, body-colored, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals
- Rear defroster with manual sliding window
- Overhead storage console
- Auto-dimming rearview mirror
Upgrading to four-wheel drive on the Lariat costs $4,000, while going to the Lariat SuperCrew model adds $2,175, the same as on the XLT trim. Notable packages include 501A for $1,795 that bundles the normally standalone Technology Package (adaptive cruise control and navigation for $795) with rain-sensing wipers, remote start, windshield wiper de-icer and a 10-speaker premium B&O audio system with HD radio (available only on the SuperCrew). Chrome ($795) and Sport ($895) Appearance packages are available but must be bundled with 501A. The Trailer Tow ($495) and FX4 Off-Road ($1,295) packages are again available standalone.
