2019 Ram 1500: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 160,000 model-year 2019 Ram 1500 pickup trucks

The Problem: A battery ground-circuit fastener may not be secured properly, which could loosen the connection enough to intermittently create an open circuit, leading to inconsistent steering feedback and increasing the risk of a crash.

Ram parent company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said it is unaware of any related accidents or injuries.

The Fix: Dealers will tighten the fastener for free.

What Owners Should Do: FCA did not immediately announce an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
