2019 Subaru Legacy, Outback: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,100 model-year 2019 Subaru Legacy sedans and Outback wagons

The Problem: Spot welds located on the duct below the cowl panel may have been improperly applied, reducing the vehicle’s body strength and increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will inspect and repair or repurchase the vehicles, as necessary, for free.

What Owners Should Do: Subaru will begin notifying owners July 26. Owners can call the automaker at 844-373-6614, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
