We recently got our second run at the mid-engine 2020 Chevrolet Corvette supercar. We drove it before, but we drove an $85,000 Z51 Package model (and wow!). Now we’ve gotten a chance to test out the $60,000 1LT version. But is the base version any good?

The short answer is a big “yes.” The base model’s ride quality is impressively refined — as it was in previous-generation base Corvettes — and this car is as road-trip-ready as any base Vette before it. Driving on long stretches of highway, the C8 — so named for being the Corvette’s eighth generation — boasts a ride that can best be described as “serene.”

What else do we like about it? Well, the list is long, so watch the video for more.
