So maybe you like the idea of having a sporty Honda Civic, but you’re not necessarily keen on living with something that looks like an angry Pokémon or that costs $35,000 to $45,000, which would be the Civic Type R. Maybe you want something that’s easier to live with on a daily basis and costs considerably less. For 2020, the Civic Si might just be your ride.

The Civic Si is meant to split the difference between the turbocharged Sport and the top-end Type R. For 2020, it’s lightly updated with minor exterior styling tweaks, more upscale interior design and trim, an updated multimedia system and additional standard safety features. The Si still comes in either coupe or sedan format and features a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 205 horsepower; a six-speed manual is the sole transmission.

On both body styles, there’s only one option: tires. Stick with the standard all-season tires and your out-the-door price is less than $26,000; add $200 for the summer-tire option.

At that surprisingly low price, can it be any good? Yes! What’s the best part? Watch the video below to find out.
