2020 Toyota Highlander: Recall Alert
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 39,000 model-year 2020 Toyota Highlander SUVs
The Problem: Auto stop-start may not operate correctly, resulting in a vehicle stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will reflash the engine control unit for free.
What Owners Should Do: Toyota will begin notifying owners in mid-May. Owners can call Toyota at 800-331-4331, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
