Hyundai’s popular Santa Fe SUV, heavily updated for 2021, is gaining a slightly more aggressive-looking appearance package for 2022. Dubbed the XRT and based on the higher SEL trim with the Convenience Package, the Santa Fe XRT adopts a popular blacked-out exterior look to give the two-row family SUV a bit more styling bite.

  • Matte-black grille
  • Black front and rear bumper molding, mirror caps, roof rails and cross members
  • Dark-silver skid plates
  • XRT-exclusive side steps and black door molding

Prices for the XRT are $33,485 for the FWD and $35,185 for the AWD (including destination), increases of $1,600 over their SEL with Convenience Package counterparts.

Buyers interested in the Santa Fe XRT won’t have to wait long. According to Hyundai, the Santa Fe XRT should be arriving at dealers now. Those looking for a more rugged take on the Santa Fe Hybrid or Plug-in Hybrid, however, are out of luck: The XRT is currently only available on gas-only models, at least for now.
