Affected vehicles include model-year 2025-26 Ram 1500s. An error with the radio software may prevent the backup camera image from displaying, reducing the driver’s view behind the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

The issue can be resolved via an over-the-air update or by a dealer, either for free. Stellantis will notify owners Sept. 24, but those with further questions can contact the automaker at 800-853-1403 (its designation for this recall is 83D), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
