239,000-Plus Tesla EVs Recalled for Rearview Camera Issue
Tesla is recalling more than 239,300 examples of its Model 3, Model S, Model X and Model Y electric vehicles over an issue with the rearview camera.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2024-25 Model 3 and Model S sedans and model-year 2023-25 Model X and Model Y SUVs. The computer circuit board in the vehicles may short-circuit, causing a loss of the rearview camera image, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
An over-the-air update is currently available, and Tesla will also identify vehicles that experienced a circuit board failure or stress that may lead to a failure and replace the computers, both for free. The automaker will begin notifying owners March 7, but those with further questions in the meantime can call Tesla at 877-798-3752 (Tesla’s number for this recall is SB-25-00-001), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
