The refreshened Maxima went on sale last week while the press release announcing a starting price of $28,050; the entire line is only $150 more than 2006 models were and features a number of interior upgrades and a very slightly altered exterior.

The Maxima 3.5 SE and SL come with the same 255-horsepower 3.5 liter V6 engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which should help with mileage. The interior has been redesigned from the gauges to the seats while the exterior features a new front grille, larger optional spoiler and new wheel designs. A keyless entry system is now standard.
