A major recall of more than 561,000 vehicles worldwide for an engine problem that can cause sudden stops has little impact here in the U.S. A small percentage of that number, under 78,000, were exported to the U.S. and include Odyssey minivans and CR-V SUVs built between 1994 and 1997.
The defect is significant and there have been five cases of drivers getting burned by overheated parts falling onto their feet while driving.
