Stellantis Recalls 844,000-Plus Vehicles for Rearview Camera
Stellantis is recalling more than 844,000 vehicles over an issue with the rearview camera, which may prevent an image from displaying.

- 2026 Jeep Compass SUVs
- 2026 Jeep Gladiator pickup trucks
- 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs
- 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer SUVs
- 2026 Jeep Wrangler SUVs
- 2026 Ram 1500 pickup trucks
- 2026 Ram 2500 pickup trucks
- 2026 Ram ProMaster cargo vans
- 2026 Ram ProMaster EV cargo vans
The rearview camera in affected vehicles may not display when the vehicle is in Reverse, reducing the driver’s visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
To resolve the issue, the software can be updated by a dealer or via an over-the-air update for free. Stellantis will notify owners by Sept. 1, but those with further questions in the meantime can contact the automaker at 800-853-1403 (Stellantis’ number for this recall is 78D), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
