Vehicles Affected: Nearly 75,000 model-year 2006-12 Land Rover Range Rover SUVs manufactured between April 15, 2005, and Sept. 4, 2012

The Problem: One or both of the flexible front brake hoses in the affected vehicles may rupture and cause a loss of brake fluid. If this happens, the SUV would need a longer distance to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Land Rover dealers will replace the left and right front brake hoses free of charge.

What Owners Should Do: The recall is expected to begin March 13. For more info, owners can call Land Rover at 800-637-6837 and reference recall number P054, or they can call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s hotline at 888-327-4236.
