Ford Focus Teaser Foretells More Aggressive Styling, New Wheel Design

Ahead of the redesigned Focus’ global debut on April 10, Ford has released a teaser video for the car. Does it need one? Probably not, but you can’t blame Ford’s designers for wanting to show off their work — or the marketing team for shooting its shot.

The video reveals only a few details about the car. It still appears to have a similar grille to the outgoing model, but the headlights now include an LED strip that looks very similar to Volvo’s signature “Thor’s Hammer” design.

The wheels on the teaser car are a new five-spoke design that appeared on a car in earlier spy photos, rumored to be the ST version of the Focus. The car in this video is also a hatchback and seems to have a more aggressively angled hatch, with large Focus badging across the rear. We’ve also seen a sedan version in other spy shots.

We’ll have to wait on official photos to confirm all the changes to the redesign, and those likely won’t be available until the actual reveal. In the meantime, quell your rabid desire for Ford Focus news with the teaser video above.
