Ford Prices Flex

One of the more curious new vehicles in Ford’s 2009 lineup is the Flex, which will attempt to merge the utility of a minivan with the style and customizability of a Scion. Sort of. For that, as Ford has just announced according to Automotive News, buyers will pay $28,995. That brings the Flex in just above the Taurus X, Ford’s other major crossover effort, which some people think may drop out over time.

That’s just the Flex’s low end, though. A variety of trims will be available, all the way up to the AWD Flex Limited, which will carry a tag of $37,255 before packages and options. (When we find additional trim pricing, we’ll be sure to update.) Will people adopt a new vehicle at $30,000? Or will they long for the days of the Freestar’s oh-so-functional sliding doors?
