Affected vehicles include certain model-year 2021-26 Bronco and Bronco Raptor SUVs. The engine compartment wiring harness may become damaged and short-circuit. A short circuit can create heat or sparks that could lead to a fire, increasing the risk of injury.

To resolve the issue, dealers will install protective sheathing over the wiring for free. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 24, but those with further questions can contact Ford at 866-436-7332 (Ford’s number for this recall is 26S55), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
