How Much Is the 2025 Kia EV6?

The Kia EV6’s first update since debuting for the 2022 model year is a big one. The all-electric SUV’s basic shape is unchanged, but new front and rear bumpers, restyled head- and taillights, new sill trim and fresh wheel designs give the EV6 a more aggressive look that better aligns with the rest of the brand’s portfolio. And for 2025, the EV6 starts at $44,375 (all prices include the $1,475 destination charge).

But that and some minor interior updates are typical mid-cycle face-lift stuff. Both the standard and optional battery packs are now bigger, stretching the electric vehicle’s claimed range to a maximum of 319 miles. And perhaps the most meaningful change to the 2025 EV6 is not even under the skin but behind the scenes: Kia now builds the electric hatchback — with the exception of the range-topping GT trim — at its facility in Georgia, which means that every 2025 EV6 except the GT qualifies for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit.

What Are the 2025 Kia EV6’s Trim Levels?
Even the entry-level Light trim comes with all the high style and tech that draws buyers to EVs. It rides on 19-inch wheels and features LED head- and taillights, flush-mounted door handles, and keyless entry and starting. The Light’s seats are upholstered in a blend of cloth and synthetic leather, the driver’s seat is power adjustable, and both front seats are heated. Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard, as are a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, six speakers, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Long Range battery pack is standard on the Wind (it’s optional on the Light), which is available with rear- or all-wheel drive. The Wind also adds bidirectional charging capability, a hands-free power liftgate, full synthetic leather upholstery and a power-adjustable passenger seat.
Like the Wind, the GT-Line includes the big battery and is available with RWD or AWD. It wears a unique front bumper and sill trim, as well as upgraded interior trim, and it’s fitted with a power moonroof, power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, head-up display and 14-speaker Meridian audio system.
At the top of the EV6 lineup, the GT fulfills the GT-Line’s performance promise with its more powerful motors and an adaptive suspension, as well as 21-inch wheels, sport seats, synthetic suede upholstery, heated outboard rear seats and a heated steering wheel.
Standard and Available Safety Features
Kia’s Drive Wise safety suite is standard on every 2025 EV6. On the Light trim, it includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver attention monitor, front and rear parking sensors, rear occupant alert and automatic high beams.
Optional on the Light Long Range and standard on the Wind trim level are oncoming and front cross-traffic alert, emergency steering assist, Kia’s Highway Driving Assist 2 hands-on highway semi-autonomous driving tech, blind spot cameras, a 360-degree parking camera, side parking sensors and rear automatic braking. The Light Long Range also includes smarter adaptive cruise that incorporates information from the navigation system, while the Wind comes with adaptive cruise control that mimics the driver’s driving style.
To that, the GT-Line and GT add automated parking and automatic braking that works with the front and side parking sensors, should you try (poorly) to park yourself.

What Are the 2025 Kia EV6’s Powertrain Specs and Range?
The EV6’s powertrain choices offer one of the widest output spreads of any modern vehicle. The entry-level EV6 Light now has a 63-kilowatt-hour battery, 5 kWh larger than before; the pack in all other EV6s grows from 77.4 kWh to 84. Between the base rear-drive Light and the GT, there is a difference of 474 horsepower. For the EV6, the baseline is the single-motor RWD Light; it makes 167 hp and 258 pounds-feet of torque, and Kia says it needs 8.3 seconds to accelerate from 0-60 mph. With the larger battery pack, the rear-drive Light, Wind and GT-Line generate 225 hp and 258 pounds-feet, and they hit 60 mph a second quicker.
For a big power boost, EV6 buyers will need to upgrade to the dual-motor AWD configuration. Optional on the Light (with the Long Range battery), Wind and GT-Line, it bumps total output to 320 hp and 446 pounds-feet of torque, dropping the 0-60 time to five seconds flat. The EV6 GT is only available with AWD, with its motors combining for 601 hp and 545 pounds-feet under normal operation and short bursts of 641 hp and 568 pounds-feet in GT mode. In GT mode, it hits 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
Kia says range estimates for the lineup are as follows (official EPA ratings for the 2025 model are not yet available):
- Light: 237 miles (+5 miles from the 2024 model’s range)
- Light Long Range, RWD: 319 miles (+9)
- Light Long Range, AWD: 295 miles (+13)
- Wind Long Range, RWD: 319 miles (+9)
- Wind Long Range, AWD: 295 miles (+13)
- GT-Line, RWD: 319 miles (+9)
- GT-Line, AWD: 270 miles (+18)
- GT: 231 miles (+13)
