How Much Is the 2026 Honda Accord?
Key Points
- Larger touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity and wireless charging now standard
- Hybrid returns up to 48 mpg combined, starts at $34,990 (all prices include $1,195 destination charge)
- Gas-only variant rated at 32 mpg, priced from $29,590
The Honda Accord is the second-most-popular mid-size sedan in the country, but it could double its sales and still not overtake the Toyota Camry for honors in the class. For the 2026 model year, Honda is making a few minor changes to the Accord but nothing that’s likely to put a dent in the Camry’s lead on the sales charts so far in 2025. A 9-inch touchscreen is standard (2 inches larger than before), as are wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and wireless phone charging. The SE trim upgrades from 17- to 19-inch wheels, and the Sport and Sport-L hybrid trim levels now wear black window trim and badging.

Safety Features
Standard on every 2026 Accord, the Honda Sensing safety suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering, traffic-jam assist and road-sign recognition. All trim levels except the base LX also get blind spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert.
Powertrain Specs and MPG
The Accord’s powertrain options are unchanged for 2026. The LX and SE are powered by a 192-horsepower, turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 192 pounds-feet of torque; it’s mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission. All Accords are front-wheel drive. Honda says the LX returns the same EPA-rated 29/37/32 mpg city/highway/combined as the 2025 model; the SE gets 28/36/31 mpg (official EPA estimates for the 2026 model are not yet available).
The Sport, EX-L, Sport L and Touring get a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a pair of electric motors that act as a CVT. Combined, the setup generates 204 hp and 247 pounds-feet of torque. Most hybrid Accords are rated at 46/41/44 mpg except the EX-L, which returns 51/44/48 mpg.
