Incentives: Goodbye 2006, Hello 2008

As the leaves are changing and various other summer-to-fall metaphors become applicable, so too are manufacturers gradually phasing out new-car incentives. Lest you lament the loss of savings, take solace in knowing those old 2006 incentives have been replaced by new-and-improved 2008 offers by most manufacturers. 

GM, Ford, and Chrysler, among others, have all increased the width and depth of their 2008 incentives, from $2,500 off the 2008 GMC Envoy to $3,000 off the 2008 Ford F-250 and 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Manufacturers are also offering a variety of financing offers, like the 0.0% rate available on nearly every 2008 Ford.
