Luxury electric-vehicle maker Lucid is recalling more than 4,400 examples of its Gravity SUV over an issue with the seat belts, which may not properly restrain an occupant.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2025-26 Gravitys. The lap-belt anchor brackets on the second-row seats may have inadequate welds, which may prevent the seat belt from properly restraining a passenger in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
To resolve the issue, Lucid will inspect and repair the welds or replace the seats, as necessary, for free. Owner notification letters are expected to be sent May 22, but those with further questions can contact Lucid at 888-995-8243 (Lucid’s number for this recall is SR-26-04-00), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
