Affected vehicles include model-year 2025 Ram 1500s. The issue is with the front wheel-hub encoder rings, which may be damaged, potentially disabling the electronic stability control system. Operating the vehicle without a functioning electronic stability control system increases the risk of a crash.
To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect and replace the front wheel-bearing hub assembly for free. Stellantis will notify all owners by Dec. 19. Those with further questions can contact the automaker at 800-853-1403 (Stellantis’ number for this recall is 97B), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
