As the popularity of pickup trucks grows alongside the curiosity for electric vehicles, new battery-powered rigs are rolling in from familiar names like Ford and GM, as well as new players like Rivian. To compete with current and upcoming models like the Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Lightning, GMC Hummer EV pickup and Chevrolet Silverado EV, Ram announced today an all-electric 1500 pickup truck will debut in the 2024 calendar year (likely as a 2025 model).

As the last of the Detroit Three to announce an all-electric pickup, Ram aims to lure future customers by keeping them actively involved in its development. To pique early interest, Ram teased two images of the 1500 EV concept, including the pickup’s chassis and its shadowy exterior with futuristic lighting.
