Ram Adds Factory-Backed Performance Upgrades for 2027 Rumble Bees

Just a few months after unveiling its line of Ram 1500 Rumble Bee muscle trucks for 2027, Ram has announced a trio of factory-backed upgrade packages aimed at further enhancing those trucks’ performance and brawny attitude. Offered via Stellantis’ Direct Connection performance parts division and intended for dealer installation, a supercharger kit and cat-back exhaust system will be offered for the Rumble Bee, Rumble Bee 392 and Rumble Bee SRT, while a coil-over suspension-lowering kit will be available for the Rumble Bee and Rumble Bee 392. Accompanying Direct Connection-branded graphics packages will also be available and color-keyed to the three Rumble Bee trims: Ceramic Gray on the 5.7-liter V-8 Rumble Bee, Flame Red on the 6.4-liter V-8 Rumble Bee 392 and Rumble Bee Yellow on the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 Rumble Bee SRT.

Direct Connection has a long history of supplying factory-direct performance parts and crate engines for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles, but this latest salvo appears to target (and one-up) Ford’s recently launched Ford Custom Garage dealer-available performance packages for the F-150. None of these kits are cheap, but they offer enthusiast buyers a higher level of personalization in addition to added performance, the convenience of over-the-counter availability and the peace of mind of a factory-backed warranty.
Supercharger Kit
A 3.0-liter, twin-screw supercharger kit with an air-to-water intercooler and high-capacity coolant pump is priced at $10,995 (not including installation, which typically varies by dealer and region) for all three Rumble Bee variants. Specific horsepower figures are not yet available, but Ram’s targeted numbers are as follows:

When installed by an ASE-certified Mopar technician, the kits come with a five-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.
Cat-Back Performance Exhaust
If the burly exhaust note of a stock Rumble Bee isn’t enough, Direct Connection will offer even more rumble via a cat-back performance exhaust system by aftermarket manufacturer Magnaflow. The system is all stainless steel and includes 3-inch mandrel-bent tubing, as well as 5-inch black exhaust tips with the Direct Connection logo.

The exhaust systems are covered by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects and a limited one-year warranty on the black finish exhaust tips.
Suspension Kit
A lowered suspension kit from aftermarket manufacturer Ridetech will be available for the base and 392 Rumble Bee, which have a four-corner coil-spring suspension (the Rumble Bee SRT comes standard with an air suspension that’s already a bit lower than the other Rumble Bees). The kit includes Ridetech’s HQ-series coil-overs with impact-forged aluminum-bodied monotube shocks, 24-way adjustable damping and CNC cold-wound high-tensile steel springs; it lowers the truck by 1 inch in front and 3 inches in the rear while maintaining proper suspension geometry. The anticipated retail price is $4,590 (not including installation), and a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty is included.
Projected On-Sale Dates
The base 5.7-liter Rumble Bee is slated to get these Direct Connection goodies first; they are planned to launch alongside the truck in the fourth quarter of 2026. The Rumble Bee 392 and 392 Track Pack, and Rumble Bee SRT parts are set to follow shortly thereafter in the first half of 2027.
