Recall Alert: 2012 Cadillac CTS
On select CTS models, built from Oct. 21 to Oct. 26, the power vacuum brake boost pushrod may not have been attached correctly, allowing it to separate from the brake pedal. If this happens, the result could be the loss of braking, resulting in a crash.
GM dealers will inspect the power vacuum brake boost pushrod retention nut, and if necessary, torque the nut to the proper specifications. The service will be performed at no charge and shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes to complete, according to the carmaker.
