Vehicles Affected: Some 374 model-year 2013 Dodge Dart sedans manufactured between May 10 and Aug. 24, 2013, and equipped with the Mopar 13 trim package.
The Problem: The front-seat-mounted side airbags may not have been properly installed into the seat. The airbags could fail to deploy in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The Fix: Chrysler will notify owners starting this month, and dealers will inspect the installation of the front-seat-mounted side airbags and, if necessary, reinstall them for free.
What Owners Should Do: Owners can call Chrysler at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 888-327-4236 or go to www.safercar.gov for more info.
