Vehicles Affected: About 16,000 model-year 2014 Ford Transit Connect vans built from Nov. 6, 2013, to Sept, 20, 2014.
The Problem: The seat belt fasteners might not have been properly tightened and could loosen over time, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will replace and tighten the seat belt fasteners and cargo area’s cargo tie-downs. Both fixes will be done for free.
What Owners Should Do: Owners can call Ford at 866-436-7332 for more information.
