Subaru Ascent Rolls Into 2024 With $35,490 Starting Price

Having received minor styling and technology updates last year, the Subaru Ascent rolls into the 2024 model year largely unchanged. Subaru’s three-row SUV continues to be available in seven- and eight-seat configurations, all powered by a 260-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a
continuously variable automatic transmission. For 2024, the Ascent will start at $35,490 (all pricing includes a $1,295 destination charge).

Trim Levels
The base Ascent is only available with a second-row bench seat and room for eight. Standard equipment includes 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, adaptive auto high-beam LED headlights, a 5,000-pound towing capacity with a trailer stability system, tri-zone automatic climate control, and an 11.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and HD and satellite radio. Subaru’s EyeSight safety suite is standard on all Ascents and bundles safety tech, such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure steering assist and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking.
The Premium trim is available with seven or eight seats and adds rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitors with lane change assist, and automatic emergency steering to help avoid collisions below 50 mph. The Premium also includes heated body-color side mirrors, heated front seats, an eight way power seat for the driver, second-row climate controls, Wi-Fi, and leather trim on the steering wheel and shifter. Eight seat versions of the Premium can get a Convenience Package for an additional $1,460 that includes keyless entry, a power operated liftgate and reverse automatic braking; these features are standard on the seven-seat variant.
The Limited includes the Premium features in both seven- and eight-seat configurations. It also adds a driver attention monitor, leather upholstery, a 12-way power driver’s seat and four-way power front passenger seat, and heated outboard second-row seats. Dark-gray 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels,
chrome accents on the lower-body cladding, and body-color mirrors with integrated turn signals and LED foglights distinguish the Limited from the rest of the lineup.
The pinnacle of the Ascent lineup is the Touring trim, available only with seven seats. To the Premium’s features, it adds navigation, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a panoramic moonroof, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree parking camera, a 180-degree front camera and rain-sensing windshield wipers. A gloss-black grille, chrome door handles and satin-chrome power-folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals set it apart. Inside, the Touring gets matte-finish faux-wood trim and Nappa leather seats in either black or brown with accent stitching.
As its name implies, the Onyx Edition gets a black finish on its exterior trim and 20-inch wheels. Available exclusively with seven-passenger seating, the Onyx gets synthetic leather upholstery in gray with green contrast stitching. It adds the panoramic moonroof, heated steering wheel and LED foglights. The Onyx Limited combines the Touring’s tech features with the Onyx Edition’s unique interior and exterior treatments.
