On the heels of a highly successful 2009 when Subaru saw Forester sales jump 28% over 2008, the automaker will introduce new option packages for the 2010 Forester.

The Forester 2.5X with Special Edition Package will add 16-inch alloy wheels and roof rails for $400. The Forester 2.5X Limited will have the available option of a new Navigation System and Convenience Package for $2,300. This costs $500 more than the regular nav system but includes HID headlights, a telescoping steering wheel, one-touch folding rear seats and a cargo area cover.

Other improvements to the Forester include 10-way power driver’s seats in the 2.5X Premium and Bluetooth connectivity for the nav system in Limited trim lines.

The Forester has a starting MSRP of $20,295 and will be available in February.
