The 2024 Outback Wilderness gets a revised front fascia that features a more prominent grille, an updated front bumper and LED foglights. The Outback’s Wilderness, Onyx Edition and Onyx Edition XT trims get a newly standard heated steering wheel; the Onyx Edition also now has a standard power moonroof and reverse automatic braking. Inside, the Legacy’s Sport trim now makes Subaru’s 11.6-inch Starlink Multimedia Plus touchscreen system standard, which features near-field communication functionality and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Both the Legacy and Outback now see Subaru’s EyeSight driver assistance technology as standard; variants with blind spot monitoring with lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert now come with automatic emergency steering, which helps drivers avoid a collision at speeds of less than 50 mph.

Performance for both models stays the same for 2024. The base variants come with a 182-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine; higher trims get a 260-hp, turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder. Both engines are paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard.
