Ford is no doubt delighted to announce that only 10 months after the automaker sold its 1 millionth Sync-equipped car or truck, it has now doubled that figure. The voice-controlled entertainment and communications system is now in 2 million Ford vehicles, and that number is expected to leap with the introduction of MyFord Touch.

It’s hard to argue with Sync’s success with consumers, but just in case you wanted to, Ford has some numbers to back it up. According to Ford, 88% of Sync owners recommend the system to other drivers, and one-third of participants in a pre-owned vehicle study cited Sync as playing an important role in their purchase.

Ford also says that Sync boosts a vehicle’s resale value by more than $200 over vehicles without Sync and that 89% of customers use the hands-free calling and voice-activated dialing.
