Zimride, a community carpooling website, has partnered with LiveEarth to sponsor “Carpool to the Polls,” an effort to cut down on fuel use and carbon emissions as voters head to the ballot box on Nov. 4.
As noted in a previous post, Election Day tends to be a dangerous one for drivers, so cutting back on the number of cars on the road couldn’t hurt.
Zimride creator John Zimmer wrote to AutoblogGreen, “This is the most important election for our global leadership on environmental issues, and we’re doing everything we can to promote voting and to demonstrate how every individual can make a difference.”
Hmmm … sounds like an Obama voter to us. You’re suspect, Zimmer!
