If you’re anything like my family and I, the cargo area is often packed to the gills with bags and gear on a road trip. That’s why Cars.com measures the space behind the second and third rows ourselves, along with any underfloor storage space, so the cargo numbers we publish for different models are directly comparable.

So how much cargo space did the seven SUVs in our 2024 3-Row SUV Challenge have? And of the Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride, Nissan Pathfinder, Subaru Ascent, Toyota Grand Highlander and Volkswagen Atlas, which had the most cargo space? Check out the video here for all the numbers.

Cargo space is just one of many areas we score in our multi-vehicle comparison tests. For everything else we evaluate — and to see which one of these SUVs was our overall winner — head over to the 2024 3-Row SUV Challenge results story.
