Wipe Me Down: Ford Recalls 2021 F-150 for Defective Windshield Wipers

Ford’s third major recall in less than a month (following one for its Mustang coupe and another for its F-Series Super Duty pickup trucks) has been issued for its most popular vehicle, not to mention one we bought: the F-150 pickup. More than 157,000 trucks are involved.

The affected model-year 2021 F-150s have a front windshield wiper motor that may become inoperative, causing the wipers to fail. Windshield wipers that won’t work can reduce visibility in certain conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the front windshield wiper motor for free, and Ford will begin notifying owners April 18.
