Took two hours for oil change. Long time to wait for an easy oil change

I have a 2022 Forester that I purchased used from Atlantic Subaru a year ago. The purchase experience was great as were my prior service experiences. I had the car serviced, it was a major service. Mileage is about 29,600 miles. The technician found issues with the bushings and both the front and rear brakes which need to be replaced at a cost of $1651.73. I questioned why brakes would need to be replaced so soon. The service writer acknowledged that this is early, but it happens. She said it can happen if the vehicle is not driven. I have put well over 20,000 miles on it in the last year. She dismissed my concerns and did not offer to investigate further why brakes are failing with less than 30,000 miles on the vehicle. She was polite, but not friendly, supportive or helpful with this. This is not consistent my prior experience with Atlantic Subaru. I’m beyond disappointed. I’m angry that I have a huge expense coming up with no explanation as to why.

Unfortunately this service appointment did not start well. I called and made an appointment to have a damaged tire replaced. I was told one was in stock and I could come in the next day. I dropped off the car and after waiting half an hour, I was told that they sold that tire to someone else that morning and that I could come back the next day. I left work an hour early to make the appointment. Doesn’t your service department put a hold on parts they know are needed when they set up an appointment? VERY disappointed!

Atlantic has been great for service and have been using them for 10+ years. I bought my first car there and had a very good experience with Jesse. Negotiation was smooth, they treated me well, price was right, process was very efficient. John sold me an extended warranty I didn’t plan on buying but am glad I did. I recommend them highly.
