Correction - quarts This Service department is incompetent. They over-filled the oil in our vehicle on a simple oil change and broke the mount on the rod that holds up the hood. We alerted them to the error and they insisted that they only put in 5.5 quarts and that it was not over-filled. Our car left a pretty big puddle on the ground and our check engine light came on, and the oil stick indicated that it was over-filled. We took it in to show them and they said they would do another oil change. We also had to point out to them that they broke the mount on the rod that holds up the hood of the car. They did agree to order one for us and have it ready in a few days. They changed the oil and only visually inspected the seals, claiming they didn't see any leaks. At that point, they said they put in 5 quarts. My husband drove it home and the engine light came on again the next day. He checked it and the oil stick was reading high again!!! He called them to tell them and they insisted that it had not been overfilled. We got in to take it down there and... the car wouldn't start! We gave it a day and finally got it to start. My husband, at this point was fuming to say the least. He looked it up in the owner's manual and the maximum that should be put in the vehicle is 4.5 quarts!!!! These guys over-filled it twice and now we have engine problems. We took it back in and they still insist there are no leaks (only a visual inspection) and that they are not responsible for the sensor problems we have to pay for (got it fixed for $250). Never take you car there. They don't know what they are doing. They are providing coupons for oil changes on cars that they don't sell and yet they don't bother to research on how much oil to put in. They refused to acknowledge the problem unless we could find a 3rd party auto shop to help us prove that they messed up.

Doug Smith Auto plex was great to work with
we stopped at every subaru dealer from Ogden (WHERE WE LIVE) to American Fork and found the best deal and excellent customer service at DOUG SMITH AUTOPLEX in American Fork. Ask for Tierney, she was a non nonsense saleswoman who provided excellent service.

I purchased a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in December from Doug Smith Autoplex. This is a great place to buy cars. This is my fourth car here and I will not buy cars anywhere else. They have a great selection of Used and New cars. Their staff is second to none.

Refreshingly pleasant car buying experience.
My wife and I purchased a used vehicle. While we only got half of what Kelly Bluebook said we should for our old vehicle, the price was right on the one we were looking to buy. Sales representatives were all helpful and more knowledgeable than most dealers we had visited.

Great Experience!
After asking for internet quotes I received two from dealers of the vehicles I was interested in. Blaine called me from Doug Smith Subaru after sending a price quote. I made an appointment for a few days later and made the drive to American Fork. Dealership was comfortable and no pressure. Blaine was very knowledgable and the test drive was educational. He didn't tell me what was great about the Forester, he showed me. I left with my wonderful new Subaru Forester and a positive experience purchasing it. I am very impressed with this dealership and would recommend it to anyone trying to avoid the high pressure that is all too common in car sales.

RAM Laramie 5.7 Hemi
After searching across the nation on line for the RAM Laramie that me my requirements we discovered the one we purchased from Doug Smith Autoplex. The salesman was not in the mold of the typical used car salesman typically depicted. He was very attentive and did not draw out the purchase process like is often the case. Doug Smith seems to have created a very positive auto buying experience. We have bought both the noted pickup but a Subaru as well from this group with similar experience both times.

First Subaru, won't be the last
One of the best buying experiences I've ever experienced. Tierney was very helpful. She was able to find me my dream forester within my budget and find the color I wanted as well. She was very knowledgeable on all the great features and also I had no idea about how safe this car was. I went in wanting an all wheel drive car came out owning the safest car on the market. I have never been so excited about a car!

Absolutely great experience with Cole.
Cole -- great guy, friendly and straightforward, even delivered my Jeep Patriot to my apartment because I was driving a rental car. Would recommend this dealership to anyone. If their service turns out to be as great as their sales force I will be theirs for all my future car purchases. I hope they give Cole a pay raise anytime soon. My best car purchase experience ever.

Great Service and quick to respond to emails.
I live about 600 miles from Doug Smith dealership. It is hard to see and judge a car via pictures on the Web. People can deceive you buy not telling you the whole situation of the car they are selling. When I asked questions about my 2001 Prowler, Salesman Chase Yates described the car and gave me extra pictures I requested on the same day. We negotiated the price and agree on the selling price. I flew up to see the car. When I arrived, they had a car pick me up at the airport. The car was like NEW and some of the parts had been updated by the shop. I was very happy with the car, It was well maintained and described by the dealer. I drove the car home with NO Problems. It was a great way to break in my 12 year old used car.
