Write a reviewGreat Service. I
I met with Dave to see about a car he had for sale. I bought the car within the hour and picked it up the next day. I love the way Dave does business. You come to terms and it is a handshake. A couple of small items came up and Dave took care of them immediately and professionally. I felt like I had been introduced to a new friend.

I found a 2012 BMW X5 M Dave was selling personally. It was one of the vehicles i was looking for. I called to find out more about this SUV and Dave was on vacation in Florida So his grandson gave me his personal phone number so i could speak to him while he was on vacation because the grandson didnt know all the details i was asking about. I spoke to Dave and since he was on vacation I told him i was gonna put a $1000 deposit on the SUV and that we would talk about price(price was $39,995 initially) after he gets back from vacation. A few weeks went by and Dave tried to contact me. I work a lot of hours and do to the phone policy at work i'm not able to answer calls until later. We spoke and he had to take the BMW in for a recall to have repaired. A week later we spoke and I offered him $37,500 and he accepted this offer which was late on a Friday. I had no time to speak with my credit union until the following Monday. I learned on talking with them they they can only offer me $31, 500 and that is because i have had many loans with them. Initially they said it would be $28,800 with anyone else. they looked at the loan value of a 2013 and it was $38,000 cause I asked them to look since i was curious. I called him back at my convenience. to tell him i'm not able to purchase the BMW due to the HUGE price difference of $6000. I asked him about my deposit back. He then tells me well i had 3 others asking about this SUV and could have sold it. From the beginning he tells me he's an HONEST MAN. He also complains to me that he paid $93,000 when he bought it and is trying to recover his losses. And that he had Ceramic coating on the SUV which cost him $1800 also. I even told him you can add gold emblem on the SUV and even have gold on the rims but you will not get what you put into the vehicle and banks really dont care about that . That they only go by what kelly blue book or NADA tells them what its worth. He even gave the excuse that i could have bought the car while HE WAS ON VACATION. That was not what we both agreed on when i spoke to him while he was in florida for 2 weeks on vacation. All he gave me was excused to keep my $1000 deposit. I mentioned to him if he drops the price to give me a call. he tells me well maybe when you can up your offer you can call me LOL. 2 days later i look on Cars.com and see he dropped the price to $37,995. 2 weeks later he drops it again to $36,995. then another week or so passes and NOW THE PRICE IS $35,995. MY CONCLUSION IS THAT THIS DAVE BACKER WHO HAS BEEN SELLING CARS FOR 40 YEARS HAS BEEN STEALING FROM GOOD HONEST CUSTOMERS. ONE WHO WILL GIVE ONLY EXCUSES TO KEEP YOUR DEPOSITS INSTEAD OF GIVING IT BACK. I HAVE BOUGHT MANY CARS IN MY PAST AND NEVER HAVE I EVER COME ACROSS A MAN WHO IS SO CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT HE PAID FOR A CAR AND TO RECOVER HIS LOSSES. IF THIS IS THE CASE DAVE MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A NISSAN GTR WHICH HOLDS ITS VALUE MORE THAN A BMW X5 M. ITS BEEN SEVERAL MONTHS NOW SINCE I SENT HIM A DEPOSIT. THE PRICE HAS DROPPED 3 TIMES DURING THIS TIME PROBABLY DUE TO OTHERS GOING TO THE BANK AND FINDING EXACTLY WHAT I FOUND THAT BANKS WILL ONLY LOAN $31,500 FOR THIS CERAMIC COATED BMW X5 M. DAVE TAKE YOUR LOSSES AND MOVE ON. DONT TRY TO PUT LOSSES ONTO YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE LOOKING FOR A RIGHTEOUS PRICE (kelly blue book had it at $32,488 and who is gonna pay more for a kbb price???) BUYERS BEWARE OF SUCH SELLERS WHO ARE LOOKING TO TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN. DAVE BACKER IS NOT THE HONEST MAN HE TOLD ME HE WAS AND TO THIS DAY STILL KEEPS MY DEPOSIT WHILE HE WAS ON VACATION AND COULD HAVE SOLD IT AT $39,995. LIFE IS FULL OF CROOKED SALESMEN AND DAVE BACKER IS ONE TO AVOID. HE HAS 40 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN DOING SO
