Very disappointing experience with Cary Auto Sales. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience. I purchased a 2014 Toyota Avalon Limited from Cary Auto Sales and paid cash for the vehicle in full. Unfortunately, the same day I took the vehicle home, the tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning began flashing and malfunctioning. Because it was Sunday, I had the vehicle checked by a mechanic. The mechanic determined that the problem was a defective TPMS sensor in the right-rear tire. What concerns me even more is that the vehicle’s diagnostic history showed that the TPMS warning/monitoring system had previously been reset. I have no way of knowing who reset it or why it was reset. However, because the TPMS problem appeared immediately after I purchased the vehicle, the mechanic questioned whether the system may have been reset before the sale to temporarily clear the warning. I want to be clear that I cannot independently confirm who performed the reset, but the circumstances are certainly concerning. I contacted Cary Auto Sales on Monday, only two days after purchasing the vehicle, and spoke directly with Peter, the gentleman who sold me the car. I explained the problem, provided the information from the mechanic, and attempted to give Cary Auto Sales an opportunity to resolve the issue through their service department. Peter declined to provide any service and refused to replace the defective TPMS sensor. This was extremely disappointing. The problem occurred the very same day I purchased the vehicle, and I contacted the dealership almost immediately after having it professionally diagnosed. I made a genuine effort to resolve the matter directly with Cary Auto Sales before writing this review. They refused to help. I paid cash for this vehicle and expected reasonable customer service when an obvious problem surfaced immediately after the sale. Instead, once the sale was completed, I was essentially left to deal with the problem myself. I cannot say who reset the TPMS system, and I don’t want to make an accusation I cannot prove. However, the fact that the system had a history of being reset, followed by a TPMS failure immediately after purchase, is concerning—especially given the mechanic’s suspicion about why it may have been reset. I attempted to remedy this situation directly with Cary Auto Sales. They refused. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Cary Auto Sales. Anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership should have a complete independent inspection and diagnostic scan performed before paying for the vehicle, including checking the TPMS system and looking for evidence of previously cleared warning codes. My biggest disappointment isn’t simply that the sensor failed. It’s how Cary Auto Sales responded when I brought the problem to their attention just two days after purchasing the vehicle.

I had bought a new 2022 car and couldn't get a decent price on a trade from the dealer, so I took my old car to Sam and he gave me a fair price with no hassle. The sale was completeed painlessly and quickly, no fuss no muss, done. They then gave me a ride back home! Very nice folks, thanks!

Run don’t walk AWAY from this place unless your goal is to be stranded on the side of the road 1 month after purchasing a 13000 dollar car and ending up with over 2000 more dollars in repairs needed and if your next goal is to be told by the manager “sorry as is” when you call. Should change the name to “Sorry As Is Car Sales” and see the amount of customers they can swindle. Purchase from a reputable dealership and save yourself the stress and disappointment that this place promises and delivers on.

Drove from two hours away to look at a choice suv at this dealership. When I made decision not to buy , dealer staff decided to hold my title work on my trade in and has refused to mail it back to me. For no reason. Now I have to request new title at DMV...

This is my second vehicle that I purchased from. Cary Auto Sales. Excellent customer service I never have or had that feeling in the past of once you leave the lot there is no communication about the vehicle you've purchased. I like that they are very selective with the inventory... and he always have a nice selection to choose from. Trust if your looking for a reliable and decent vehicle definitely check them out!!

FYI I wrote this review 3 years ago but apparently never posted it! I will now be writing my 2nd review for a purchase I just made! I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience I had buying my first car in 14 years! When I started this journey I would have rather had a tooth pulled without any lidocaine! Sam was exceptional and easy to deal with. Luis and Mark were great too! If you are looking for a great used car please go here. Clean cars and low miles, no junk here. 3 years later the 2014 Honda Civic I bought is still going strong with absolutely no issues! It is now my sons car so it was time for me to get another car. I did not hesitate to return to Cary Auto Sales! Once again a wonderful experience! Sam is the best! Buying a car can be stressful and I like the hometown experience I get here! Thanks again!
