I want to start by saying that I have always had a great experience with the sales team. They are friendly, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, this review is about my experience with the service department. I brought my vehicle in for a CVT transmission fluid replacement and also mentioned that my tire pressure sensors were not working. I specifically asked for a quote to repair the sensors. When I received my bill, I discovered that I had been charged $119.95 for a "Comprehensive Systems Check and Diagnostic Testing" that I neither requested nor authorized. I had already informed them that the tire sensors were not functioning; I was simply looking for an estimate to repair them. In addition, there was a charge of $45.67 listed as "Misc Charges." When I asked about it, I was told it covered items such as rags and other shop supplies. Given the cost of the service itself, it feels like many of those overhead expenses should already be included in the labor and service charges. The end result was a bill of $655.20, primarily for a transmission fluid change and being told what I had already told them about the tire sensors. That is a very expensive service visit. What disappointed me most was not the amount itself, but the feeling that additional charges were added without my clear approval. I left feeling less like a valued customer and more like someone who had been taken advantage of. If I return in the future, I will make sure every requested service is documented in writing beforehand and that no additional work is performed without my explicit authorization. I hope management reviews these practices because transparency and customer trust are important, and this experience did not reflect either.

We had a great experience with this dealership, the sales associate Nash was very kind and attentive. The car we wanted hadn't even been through the shop and they made it happen for use. Very glad we could make it happen.

Not like they used to be, from honest & helpful to sneaky and dishonest. I’m not sure if it’s because I am a female, but the dealership took advantage of me in regards to what they said my car “needed” and the price that I should pay for it. They told me 6 tasks immediately needed my attention following a 50k mile oil change ($130 without warranty). They told me my tires only had 15,000 miles left on them and I needed new ones. I just bought them at Costco a year ago. When I told them I had just gotten them at Costco they immediately backpedaled and said oh yeah you should talk to them about your warranty. With the tires they wanted to charge me $150 (avg cost $80-$100) for wheel alignment and $940 (avg $160) for wheel mount and balance. The next issue was a cracked strut, when I showed the photo to someone else they said it was fine. The dealership wanted $1,153 for something that on average costs $80-$200. Luckily I have car guys in my family who told me to get a second opinion. A yellow orange warning they sent me to purchase was my 60k mile check even though I was having my 50k mile check at that very appointment. Final immediate tasks were brake replacement for $337. Remaining tasks that they did not quote me for, but I probably would have fixed were the cabin filter and engine air filter replacements. I get that businesses cannot give away their services, but the Subaru dealership I was with in Oregon always talked me through the quotes and we made a plan together. The digitized quotes are fast, but I feel bad for those who don’t understand what’s being sent over and just check yes for everything. (Update) the dealership reached out late one evening to see if I’d like to sell or trade my car. I said I would be willing to sell it at the right price. That night they said that my model would likely be purchased for 18,000 but they wanted to get back to me in the morning. The next morning they got back to me and dropped the vehicle to $17,000. Unfortunately, with all the work they tried to get me to purchase and then dropping the offer, I was no longer interested in working with the dealership perhaps if they had sent a loan number first and then a higher number the next morning the taste wouldn’t be as bad in my mouth. Things the dealership does well: - friendly faces when you enter & walk around - complementary snack and beverages in the waiting room - friendly sales associates - they offer you a free car wash coupon - easy to set up appointments online or walking in to the dealership

Dominic was very helpful. I feel my car is cared for properly. This is my 7th subaru and they were all only cared for by subaru techs. Never worried about my car.

I bought a new Subaru from Findlay in 2018. Since then I have trusted Findlay and had the recommended items completed each time including 3 sets of new tires. My car has about 140,000 miles on it with mostly highway miles. Last week I went in for a routine "lube, oil filter" work and they requested a bunch of other work which I mostly declined. The largest being a new catalytic converter. Findlay wanted $4000 to do this one item. This shocked me and I declined but it forced me to dig up my old records and I realized that since time of purchase I have put over $15,000 into repairs and maintenance at Findlay. I found another local independent shop who could replace my catalytic converter for $1000 new. My electric tail gate has not worked for a year. The radio is broken. The tire pressure sensors fail almost monthly. The staff is kind and pleasant to work with but now after researching my repairs I could have paid 1/4, which is more resonable. I would say that Findlay is way over charging for the work they do.

We have had nothing but positive experience with Findlay. Our vehicle purchase went smoothly, and the training they provided was very helpful. The service department has taken good care of us, and even made some reparations that needed to be made due to my mistakes. Thanks Findlay!
