Reviews
Run away.
Read the reviews before you buy a car from here they might be quick to sell ya one but after your on your own according to most of their customers reviews. Found put the hard way what level of customer service you can expect after spending 25 grand on a car. Wish I never bought this car now. And my truck they took in for 13,500 is now for sale for 16250. Spectrum news is supposed to call me to get the story about what my experience with Bob steele has been. Sounds like I'm not the only person that's had bad experiences here.

THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST!!!
Do not waste your time doing business with this dealership. They are misleading and abusing customers. I checked the website to check the price and availability of a vehicle. I drove 45 minutes to go and purchase the truck to find out when I got there to buy a car that they had a 10% mark up price over the MSRP, this information was not disclosed to me during the three phone calls that I had with the dealer and was not published anywhere on the website. As a disabled veteran, I was treated horribly in this establishment; they avoided giving me my military discount at all cost. They were telling people that all dealers in Florida are adding the 10% markups to the MSRP, which is a lie. They added a poor-quality label markup to the factory sticker price of the vehicle. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST!!!

Buyer Beware
We drove an hour to purchase a Traverse listed for $47500. After test driving and saying how much we liked the car, we were told the actual price was $53500. Then they spouted salesman’s mumbo jumbo about %10 over MSRP and they don’t have many used cars in stock, yadda, yadda. They wouldn’t give us any more for our car to it make up some of the $6000 difference. We left, sat in the lot and called an honest dealer in North Orlando with a Traverse, asked the price, was quoted $47500 so we drove to North Orlando and bought the car. Buyers beware of Bob Steel Chevrolet.

Expect to wait for any service, including the free oil...
Expect to wait for any service, including the free oil change. Much like an airline, many of the appointment slots are overbooked. I brought my new Silverado pickup in for an 0800 appointment at 0750 to find they were overbooked and the advertised 60 minute oil change turnaround time would be more like 2+ hours. My appointment was made over 2 weeks in advance and their calendar was clear when I made the appointment per their scheduler. The service department folks gave the impression they don't care and were happy to cancel. Many issues are not within a service department's control, but scheduling IS within a service department's control. Not being prepared and overbooking is a real issue for customers and give the impression that your time and loyalty don't matter.

All LIES just to get you in the door. We are looking for...
All LIES just to get you in the door. We are looking for a new Traverse and found a nice one on the Bob Steele Chevrolet Website. The price was 35k so we called Bob Steele Chevrolet to confirm the price was 35k - Spoke to Vanessa. She confirmed this car is on the lot and the price is 35k. We drove over an hour to see the car and BUY IT FOR 35K tonight. Sam was great but he quickly disappeared when things went south. Their Finance guy (sorry no name) came over and announced the car was now 39k, WHAT??? We spoke to RON the Manager and his explanation was that they needed to increase the price 7% because of low inventory. He said there was nothing he could do about it. BUT YOUR WEBSITE price? But Vanessa said??? NO NO NO. They don't care. They flat out lied and were not going to do anything about it. We walked out. This was the most unethical, dishonest, deceitful dealership we have ever encountered and we do not recommend them.

LIES LIES LIES
They lied to us about the price of a new Traverse. Their website stated the Travers was 35k so we called the dealership and Vanessa confirmed that this particular Travers was 35k. I practically begged her to be honest with me and not lie. She assured me that this particular Travers was in the lot and SAM had the key and it was 35k. We were thrilled so we drive over an hour to buy the car. Sam was great. But as soon as the FINANCE guy stepped it, everything went to crap. He said the car was 39k. We replied NO the car is 35k because here is proof of your website price and we spoke to VANESSA at this dealership. NO the car was 39k and RON the manager said there is a 7% markup because of "low inventory". Well that is just BS. What they did is dishonest, deceitful, unethical and false advertising. I would NEVER recommend ANYONE to buy a car from Bob Steele Chevrolet. Keep walking. These guys lie and will waste your time.

It took 3 hours today for an oil change and replacement...
It took 3 hours today for an oil change and replacement of a couple of air filters on my 2016 Corvette, with an appointment. Then the price of one filter at checkout was higher than the estimate. The kicker was going out to my car afterward. The car was unattended in an isolated area around the back side of the building and had been left running for 15 minutes with the driver door partially open, in the rain, with the radio station changed, the music blaring, and the A/C system going full tilt, blasting air from all the vents. Any punk hanging around could’ve stolen the Vette in a split second. Hey Bob Steele… How about telling your employees not to fiddle with the controls/settings on my car? It’s MY car, not theirs. And keep it locked when unattended in a public area — like I do. Your lifetime free oil changes sure do come with a price.
