I purchased a 2018/GMC/1500 from EAG Ford Jacksonville in February 2024 and also bought an extended service contract through the dealership. Unfortunately, the truck has required four major transmission-related repairs in about 17 months and roughly 23,000 miles. Key documented repairs (all on official service orders I still have): • March 2024: Transmission issues – torque-converter clutch failed – transmission replaced. • July 2025: Transmission shudder and flare – torque converter & clutches replaced. • August 8, 2025: Transmission failed completely on a trip to Galveston. The truck sat at the dealership for a full month. • After finally picking it up, I drove about 70 miles before the transmission failed again. • September 2025: Transmission again not shifting correctly – more repair work. I even raised a transmission concern during the test drive before purchase and was assured the vehicle was sound. While some staff have tried to help, the repeated breakdowns and extended downtime have left me without reliable transportation despite paying for a warranty that was supposed to give peace of mind. I’ve asked for owner-level contact to resolve the matter, including exploring a buy-back or trade-assist, but as of now there’s no final resolution. I’m posting this review so that others considering a purchase can be aware of my experience and ask detailed questions about service history, warranty coverage, and repair history before buying. — Jeffery Fredenburg

I had a great experience at this EAG Ford Jacksonville! From the start, they came across as very honest and upfront — no pressure, no gimmicks. They worked with me to get the monthly payment right where I wanted it to be, and the best part was they had already included a great warranty in the price, which gave me extra peace of mind. They also matched the trade-in offer I got from another dealership without any hassle, which I really appreciated. Overall, the whole process was smooth, transparent, and straightforward. I’m happy with my new truck and highly recommend them if you’re looking for a fair and easy buying experience.

AVOID THIS DEALER!!! Last week I found a truck on their website and contacted a sales person and agreed to a price and he sent me a purchase offer and said he would get working on the paperwork. The next day the sales manager calls me and says that price isn’t valid and that they priced the truck wrong in their website (illegal/false advertising) and now they have priced it higher and my purchase offer is now off the table. Business practice and possibly illegal to be sending someone a purchase offer to sign with the final number price only to say they decided to raise the price and the offer they sent me was no longer valid. When the sales manager called and told me that they miss-priced the truck and the market changes month-to-month well it obviously changes day to day based on they changed the price on me. I buy a few trucks every year from dealers, Ford should pull their name from this shady dealership. Buy somewhere else.

I bought the very first brand new truck I ever bought from bill mcrae and it was the easiest and best experience I ever had buying any vehicle from anyone anywhere I had the privelage of getting to know tim mcrae thru my brother in law Michael Boothe and Michael always thought highly of tim and when I finally got to actually meet him I see why Michael liked him so much he is sick a good guy and down to earth my brother in law Michael passed from covid and Tim showed the family what a wonderful man he is when he took his place at Michael's funeral and showed his respect the way he did thank you for caring for Michael the way you did tim and I'm glad I got to meet you and visit when we would pick up cars to do the work on them yall needed Woody's to do enjoy retirement and I'm happy for you and very happy for the Elliot's and how they have taken over and kept the same down to earth approach you always had

Todd Snodgrass is an outstanding buyer for Bill McRae Ford! He is extremely knowledgeable about truck values and very easy to work with. Nice hometown, friendly people. They said they would have everything ready when I got there after my 3 hour drive. And they did I was out in short time.
