Don’t buy a Subaru

The worst dealership you will ever work with. My wife and I have a 2013 Subaru Outback with 104k miles on it. We have been having transmission problem since it has had 76k miles. We have been into the dealership over 20 times to try to get it fixed. We bring it in, they tell us it is some sensor or wiring harness, they tell us it is fixed, then we get 2 miles down the road and all the dash lights come on again and the transmission slips. All they had to do was drive it around the parking lot to know it wasn't fixed. Then we had the mechanics there trying to put used sensors on it and telling us it was fixed. If it wasnt for the service tech, they would've just let that slide. So we take it back and start the process again. We can never get in contact with them and they never keep us updated on our car. Then after a few trips of back and forth to the dealer we got the manager to deal with us because we had been in there so much. Couldn't get in contact with him unless he happened to answer his phone. We left messages and never got a call back. Which is extremely frustrating when you are just wanting to know what is going on with your car and how much you will have to spend. Now since we are at 104k miles and out of the warranty by 4,000 miles, they tell us we for sure need a new transmission and transmission control module which will be 12,000 dollars. They offered to cover half the cost, but still puts us at over 6k for a car that is only worth 10k if sold private party. The only decent thing about this dealership is Steven Russo. He is a service tech and has been helpful. We have been in there so much he knows us by our faces and we have gotten to know him. We are big outdoors people and feel for the trap that Subaru is all about their customers and doing the right thing. This can't be further from the truth. It is crazy to believe a cars transmission goes out at 100k miles then it is $12k to fix it. This has been a terrible experience and we will never be buying a Subaru again and telling everyone we know to not buy one because their marketing is all a lie. So do yourself a favor and don't buy a Subaru, or if you have one near 100k miles, sell it fast and get a better car.

Good dealership.

Good dealership. Was looking for a new car. Searched everywhere with minimal luck for the car I wanted. They called me to give me a heads up that they were getting a shipment in. Took their time when purchasing and explained everything. All services I’ve had done there have been great as well. Friendly people.
