Oil Change service
On the phone, we were told we have 6 oil change services available. However, in person, I was told my 5th oil change service was last. This is misleading.

Best car buying experience! Just ask for David You
I rarely ever write reviews but I feel like this dealership definitely deserves this review. First of all, we literally left with the best car (2020 Subaru WRX STI Series White) from Subaru of Ontario. We had such a phenomenal purchasing experience from David You. Not only was he knowledgeable on the cars that we were interested in, he was very patience and honest. He wasn’t pushy and definitely didn’t pressured us into buying a car. He thoroughly answered many of our questions and concerns. Most importantly, he was willing to work with us even if that involves him running back and forth many times. Once we came to an agreeable term, we met with the Finance Manager, Lisa to finalize and sign the contracts. Lisa thoroughly went through the contract with us and kindly answered every financial questions that we had. It was a breeze. After finalizing and signing the contract with Lisa, David took his time showing us all the features that our new car has to offers even down to syncing our garage remote to SafeLink in our car. We are not first time car buyers but it’s obvious that he went above and beyond to show us our new car’s full potential. Coming from someone who worked in customer service for 12 years, I truly appreciate the time, efforts and positive attitudes that David and Lisa has shown us. We are so pleased with such pleasant and relaxed experience at Subaru of Ontario. We are over the moon with our new car. If you’re in the market for a Subaru, do yourself a huge favor and just go ask for David You. You won’t be disappointed.

Ask for David You
I’ve been in the market for almost a year now. And as a customer I’ve been scared to go in and talk to sales just because of experiences I’ve had in the past. So recently I’ve been pushing hard to get a new car and put in an inquiry for about 5 local dealers. One called me and I asked about pricing. That dealer said “we can’t give pricing over the phone cause we can lose a sale over a few bucks” hung up on him cause I knew that dealer was no good. Next dealer said they couldn’t get me to a price I wanted. Cool. 3rd dealer gave me a crazy low price but it wasn’t the model I wanted. I know it wasn’t cause the Msrp didn’t match up. I kept asking if it was the limited model and he wouldn’t give me an answer. Literally kept copying and pasting a link when I asked him a question about the car and would say stuff like “like I said check the link” I told that guy what I wanted and what color. And he literally wanted me to go above and beyond to get him an exact stock number when he could’ve done his job and did it for me. So I passed on that dealer. Other dealers didn’t respond to me and took me as a joke so I found the closest dealer to me which was Subaru of Ontario. Went in and got help from the salesman David You. This was the best car sales experience I have ever had in all my years of buying cars. I’ve probably went through 15 cars so far. And this was the best. David You helped me get the car I wanted. He had no issue running in and out of the dealership to grab keys to see another car. He was happy to help. And that experience tells you a lot about David and the dealership. Whole deal and process went smooth, and David answered all my questions. Even if I forgot to ask him a question before he ran to his manager. I felt bad for making him run back and forth but David did it with no problems. After agreeing on a deal he brought us into finance and Lisa in finance helped us with everything including a service contract/warranty. Whole process in finance went quick and smooth as well and we were out. After finance David showed us the car and everything about the car. He was very informative and it felt like we were in and out. Love the car and will be a lifetime customer from now on. If you are looking for a new car ask for David You. Yes “You” is his last name. He will help you out.

Poor experience continues
This is a follow-up to the review I left on 04/26. After my initial review, I received an email from Subaru of Ontario. The message requested I contact the general manager and there was a phone number. I called the number, call went to voicemail and I left my name and call back number. Approximately a week later, no call back. Poor customer service.

Racism, ageism, or placeism....
I dont know if it was racism ageism or placism. We went in walking I assume they didn't know what kind of car I was driving. We parked on the street. I drive the x5m if it matters. I am not used to being treated like crap but the salesman wasn't really interested in helping us. I had to ask multiple time for him to let me into a WRX sti to take a look at the interior. When he finally went to get the keys he made it a big deal to tell me these cars prices aren't negotiable he had already tried with a previous guest. At first it didn't matter. He never pushed for a test drive or even offer which I thought was weird. It was a Wednesday slow and kind of cold so I didn't think much of it. The car was listed for 34k joking I made him an offer of 27k just to gauge his expression and he immediately tried to walk away. I've never chased anyone to give them money. He looked at me and said "they ain't gonna do that so I don't want to waste your time". I know what that means in reality he didn't want to waste his time. My wife looks and says we just want to see what the price would be. He very disrespectfully repeated himself. I had to aggressively make him go inside to talk to his boss. Basically by saying I'm going to work with someone else. When we got inside he talked to some guy at the finance desk and said "they want the sti that we worked on yesterday I told them they can't get a better price but they wanted to talk to you for some reason. The car we looked at was filthy inside. The trunk had flip flops and a lot of sand and the interior of the car had garbage and smelled like a giant dog. There was also fur everywhere. The guy at the desk looked at me and said we aren't going to do any better on the price for this car because they sell really easily. Why would we make you a deal. When I pointed out all the stuff the car needed including the paint being fixed. He asked the guy if I was telling the truth about the car being dirty then offers me 1000$ off the price. At this point I could tell they didn't want to sell me anything. They just wanted me gone. I work very hard and I am very respectful to everyone I meet. In that moment I felt for the first time in California my money wasn't good unless I was willing to pay any price to own something. Shame on Subaru for having employees like this. Edit: through all this I realize some businesses can look up when negative comments are uploaded and respond. But I've noticed they've chosen to stay quiet. BMW would have said something to fix the problem is one existed. So would Honda. And jeep. I own all three currently. I'll add names to make sure the story I told is Irrerefutable this weekend. Don't shop here if you believe everyone's money and attention are deserving of respect.

Service at Ontario Subaru
I am very disappointed with my recent visit. My wait time was twice as long as promised. I was told I need front and rear brakes ASAP which was not true. The car wash looked as if a 5 year old did it. Poor customer service all the way around. I will chose another dealership going forward.

Excellent and quick service. The only thing that I asked is maybe give the service department a better office to service their customer. I feel like as I was waiting to sign the paperwork, had to moved several time for other customers and for the service advisor to pick up their paper.
