Horrible Customer Service

My first impression of this dealership was actually positive. I found a Mazda 3 that I really liked and we settled on a lease price that I was very happy with. However, right before we were about to sign the papers a sales manager came over and informed me that there was already a deposit on the car I was looking at, but that they could very likely get me the same car by Monday, at the agreed upon terms. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and agree to wait. This was a HUGE mistake. On Monday I waited all day and heard nothing from the dealership. I then decided to call them for an update. Three hours later I received a text saying that I could actually have the car with the deposit on it, but that it was scheduled for a recall service the next day, so I would receive a call telling me when I could pick it up. Tuesday passed with no phone call and when I called Wednesday morning I was told that the sales manager was out that day. I left messages on several people's voicemails and several hours later still had not been called back. Throughout the week I was repeatedly forced to call and yell before somone would even talk to me. Each time, I was told that the car would certainly be ready by X date and I would get a call. I never got one. After a week of trying to force the dealership to even communicate with me, I called and asked for my deposit back and was told that I could come pick the car up the next morning. I drove out to the dealership only to be told that they were mistaken, they had gotten in a part to test for the recall part, not the recall part itself. When I asked them whether they had been repeatedly lying to me or whether they just couldn't be bothered to check on the status of my car BEFORE telling me to drive out to the dealership, I only got more excuses about why it was someone else's fault. In the end, I walked away from a great sales price because I did not want the stress of dealing with this dealership anymore, and had no faith that they would follow through on their promises. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Jumper cable fiasco

My wife and I went to purchase a 2015 Mazda 5 on Sunday 10/12/15. We asked the salesman to show us two Mazda 5s on the lot. Both new cars had dead batteries. We saw our salesman walk through the showroom with jumper cables. It should have been a clue to both of us that the picture of the Mazda 5 we liked had snow and there were no leaves on the trees. We visited Montrose Mazda in early October. What are the odds that both new mazda5s had dead batteries and would not start. This shows a lack of even routine maintenance for there new cars. How hard would it be to start the cars even once a week. Avoid Montrose and go to a reputable dealer.

So sorry I ever came here

I scheduled to come see a used Mini Cooper for sale at Montrose in Cleveland from Pittsburgh. I had a certain Mini Cooper in mind as far as the features, mileage, year I wanted, and although far away, the car at Montrose met my specifications the best. Jeff J knew about 1 week in advance of the date my husband and I were coming out to see it. We noticed several things "off" with the car at the test drive, notably, the key fob did not work, and there was no dipstick to check the oil. We were told, "mail me the bill for that dipstick". The car was also fitlhy, despite, as mentioned, our arrival to see and most likely buy this car were known well in advance of our arrival. Jeff rushed us through my husband's further inspection of the vehicle after the test drive, saying, "you want to get in to see finance before it gets too busy here. You have a long trip home". We were ushered in to see the finance guy, Adam, and although nice, he was waaaaay fast for us. We purchased a warranty which ended up being useless, as the car had so much wrong with it mechanically. When we took it to get inspected, the warranty did not cover anything that needed repaired because all the problems it had were 'too far pre-existing from our car purchase'. Thus, we ended up selling this Mini within 5 weeks of purchase at Montrose because it was not worth it to but the great amount of money into the repairs required to have it meet PA inspection standards, after what we already paid for the car and the after-market warranty. 2 calls and 2 emails to the Sales Manager, Brandon Mcguiness, have been unanswered for almost 2 months. Other things wrong with this car that we discovered once at home: There was no manual for the car The air filter was filthy and needed replaced The carbin air box was dirty and needed replaced The passenger door lock did not work The car did indeed need an oil change and a new oil drain plug (and the new dipsick) And the kicker - the care had less than 1/4 tank of gas when we pulled out of the dealership! Since we came with the intent of likely buying this particular car, you think the service dept would have at least looked at it. It is blatantly obvious that no service was done to this car at all. Also so dissapointed that I have had no return correspondence from the Sales Manager. That is very poor customer service. I did detail in my emails to the manager the costs I had to pay for the things that should have been done at Montrose - the filters and oil, etc - but to no avail. Buying beware here.

Great service by Ryan... A day to remember & night

Ryan had me pick up the car then he showed me every way to work the command center. He was a real people pleaser. Everything went great but then there were so many other happy customers finance was backed up but when I got there Matt was a real charmer. The way he looked at me made me uncomfortable but I think he had good intentions :) love montrose Mazda!

Ryan ;)

I loved the whole experience Ryan was great and I guess Seth was ok. But the person who really gave it to me straight was billy. He just really made me comfortable and showed me the way. I could tell he really knew what I wanted in a car. Thank you all!!

Thanks Seth!

I went in search of a used car and decided to check out Montrose because a friend had recently purchased there. I was greeted by Seth Calig, he asked what I was looking for and showed me several cars he thought would fit my needs. When i picked the one I liked the most we went over pricing and financing. The whole thing was finished in one afternoon, and was much easier than I anticipated. I'm very happy with my car, and greatful for the level of service Seth provided me with! I would reccommend to anyone looking for a car to check out this great dealership.
