Worst experience I've ever had dealing with a car dealership. Employees are awful at handling customers and sales. Should also be up front about insurance... companies you won't deal with, and policies concerning things like insurance deductibles. Asked for a manager after Steven Laird (Salesman) literally xxxxed up the entire experience. Management was even worse. Bought my Sonic from CarMax years ago, but today you lost a family that buys cars from the same place.
Bought a Hyundai Sonata from a Carmax outside of NM and was assured by that Carmax Dealer that ABQ Carmax would make the repairs when I got home. Drove... 2.5 hours to have work done, no repairs or response from service mgr. to my questions. If you ever buy a car from Carmax, make sure to have everything done before taking possession for your vehicle.
I have bought 2 cars from the Car-max in Albuquerque, NM. I have had a great experience both purchases and would highly recommend anyone shopping there.... I appreciate the extra effort the manager made when my license would not scan because my dog got a hold of it. Thank you Car-manx

The facility is very nice and the atmosphere is definitely low pressure. The prices are on the high side for new cars, which they justify by saying the... cars are thoroughly inspected prior to being sold. The prices are set - no haggling. My only problem with them is they seriously lowballed us on our trade in - I was expecting an offer that would let them make a profit on our trade in, but they were at least four thousand under a conservative Blue Book trade in value. I may go back if I sell my car on my own, but I won't be bringing in a trade.
